WHAT IS ANT FITNESS?
ANT Fitness was established by Andrew Neville in April 2005 to provide a Fitness and Personal Training Service to the people of Portland and surrounding communities.
Andrew moved to Portland with his wife and young family when transferred to the local branch of the Commonwealth Bank in 2001.
Andrew made the decision to leave the bank at the start of 2004, and spent a year completing Certificates III and IV in Fitness. This enabled him to pursue a career in an area which has always been his passion - Fitness and Health.
Early in 2005 Andrew decided that the local community would benefit from a Fitness Service in the town. This would save people travelling to other towns for their Fitness requirements. He could see the need for a friendly reliable local Fitness Trainer, who could deliver a high level of customer service.
ANT Fitness began by offering Personal Training and excersise classes out of the Masonic Hall in Portland. As the business grew, ANT Fitness was able to offer the community a fitness studio offering access to Cardio and Weight Equipment.
In 2011, ANT Fitness moved into its current location in the central business district of Portland. The business is located at 9 Wolgan Street in the Father Granall Centre, opposite the Crystal Theatre. This central location offers ease of access for all members of the community with an adjacent council car park.
ANT Fitness has since expanded its services further into the local communities by offering a weekly Gentle Excersise Class at Wallerawang CWA Hall, as well as Kids Fitness Classes three times a week including a one session held in Wallerawang.

Andrew is passionate about health and fitness and believes in delivering a high standard of service.
Andrew's Qualifiactions include: Certificate III & IV Fitness; Advanced Boot Camp Instructor Certificate; Level 1 Boxing For Fitness Trainer; Children's Trainer; Older Adults Trainer Certificate in Functional Training; Level 2 Intermediate Running Coach & IAAF Kids Athletics Coach.
Mal is a qualified Personal Trainer, holding both a Certificate III & IV in Fitness.
Mal also holds certificates in both Level 1 and Advanced Boxing For Fitness.
Richard Mason achieved his Cert IV in Personal Training in 2016. Richard has always had a love for physical fitness since his own weight transformation. Richard enjoys one on one PT training and is passionate about teen fitness and strength training. Richard hopes to one day achieve a uni degree in dietetics to further develop his scope of practice as a PT.
Monique Neville is a recent graduate who has completed a Bachelor of Health Science majoring in Food and Nutrition through Charles Sturt University. Monique is passionate about science, health and nutrition education, especially promoting a healthy balanced lifestyle. She is a member of the Australian Institute of Food Science and Technology (AIFST) and Nutrition Australia. She is also a Program Facilitator for the NSW Cancer Council’s ‘Eat It to Beat It’ Program which promotes healthy food choices for school aged children (www.eatittobeatit.com.au). When Monique isn’t doing anything work related, she enjoys exercising, cooking, reading, and listening to podcasts and music. While working at ANT Fitness Monique will contribute to the improved nutrition and food knowledge of clients through nutrition education using Food Diary Analysis and Feedback; and Health Promotion activities such as Health Talks and Cooking Presentations.
